What I think Of The 1998
World Book CD-ROM
By Myra Julie (S5)
The World Book is an encyclopedia which consists of many information
books. It is availaible on a CD ROM.
Today the World Bookone is one of fastest method of obtaining
information around the entire world . Its purpose is providing students with a
large quantity of infomation. .I have discovered that the World Book is an
invaluable tool for History and Geography. In these two subjects, the World
Book contains as much information needed especially in History where detail and precise
fact is needed in order to produce a good essay.
It must be said that not all students are making full use of the
World Book. For them, I would think that obtaining information has been much
harduos.
To conclude I would like to congratulate those who have been using
the world book. Keep on venturing through it as its borders are infinitive. As for those
who have not yet experienced the sheer joy of exploring such resource, it is a tool worth
haviung and exploiting to the full. Thus take the opportunity now and see for yourself the
treasure it contains.

S5 BVS students selected for O-levels
For the first time in the history of Education in the Seychelles
Secondary school students are sitting O-level exams for a number of subjects. These
are English, French, Mathematics, History, Geography, Biology. Chemistry, Physics, Combine
Science and Art. After siiting a selection test ealier this year the best students were
thus selected to follow the O level program and thus sit the exam.
Being a quite challenging course, O level has forced the S5
students to get down to some real studying and a taste to developing an inedependent
approach towards school work, despite the fact that they had no previous personal studying
skills. The teachers also found such activity to be a challenge.
The awaiting results will tell how good a go they had at it. |

Pragassen Best BVS Achiever? Should you decide to take a look at the BVS Millenium Site Achievements Page you shall be surprised that one student appears
there five or six times, achieving excellence even in an international competition.
The question of which the anwers would be greatly useful for prospective followers is
"How does she do that?!" . Marie Michelle Pragassen is a fourteen
year old student who lives at Mare Anglaise. She is in S3H1 and is
currently among the best in her level in almost all academic subjects . and still Marie Michelle finds time to involve in
other extra curricular activities.
Being a deligent member of the IT Club, Marie Michelle
has been out and about finding the desired information from either people, books or even
the internet.
Marie Michelle is a pleasant and devoted student with a
good sense of humour under her skin. She always gives her best and takes every difficult
situation as a personal challenge.
We would like to wish Marie Michelle all the best for the
future and encourage her to keep on th good fight.
Three cheers to you Marie Michelle!!!
