The Metrology Unit offers weights and measures verification and inspection services as per the requirements of the Weights and Measures Act and Regulation of Seychelles. It also offers gas cylinder inspection and testing services as per the requirement of SS11: 1996 - Specification for Periodic Inspection and Testing of Refillable Gas Cylinders which, is a mandatory standard. All weights and measures used in commercial transaction must have a valid certificate of approval issued by the Bureau of Standards as per the Weights and Measures Act. All refillable gas cylinders must also be tested and have a valid certificate of approval as per SS11: 1996.
