Sport Federations are central in the Seychelles Sports delivery system. They add value to the fabric of the society.
Each Federation is set up to promote a particular sport. As the national authority on that particular sport, they set the pace for the development and promotion of the sport. It is important to have strong Federations, that have the motivation, capabilities and necessary support  to govern and manage the sports for which they are responsible for.
 
Objectives
  • Increase the level of participation in the sports at all levels;
  • Plan and implement development strategies for the benefit of its members and the sport;
  • Apply good governance and management practices for the development of its sport;
  • Promote and develop the spirit of volunteerism;
  • promoting a high standard of discipline, fair play and ethical conducts in its sport;
  • establishing strategies and development plans to ensure continuity of its’ sports at all level;
  • developing and maintaining international relations for the benefit of its’ sport;
  • abiding to its constitution, regulations and decisions;
    developing positive working relationship with all partners involved in sport promotion including respect of established procedures;
  • adopting and implementing the Anti Doping Code;
  • ensuring the development and improvement of sporting standards and quality of its administrative and technical personnel;
  • collaborating with the Sport Authorities in the identification and preparation of sport projects;
  • preparing and implementing selection and training plans for National Teams.
