There
is the need for accurate and up to date information about sports
and sporting opportunities to get to the right people, be they
sports providers or the public at large. Progresses in sports
requires statistical and research information to allow decision
makers, coaches and others to adjust policies, strategy and
actions in favour of athletes and sports enthusiasts
Objectives
Market and manage Seychelles
Sports Tourism programmes and services nationally and
internationally
Build partnerships with the
corporate sector for the funding of important and high
profile national programmes
Develop in conjunction with
corporate partners, national activities which promote broad
sports participation
Support the Seychelles Sports
Foundation and its role as an avenue for individual and
corporate donations through the provision of infrastructure
and administrative support
Use the increased
international profile to identify and take advantage of
potential commercial opportunities
Identify market directions
and opportunities to financially secure sport in Seychelles
Access the world wide web to
market and promote Seychelles Sports Tourism programmes and
services
Strengthen existing and
secure new international linkages and co operations
Seek and increase corporate
and private donations to sports
Promote improved sports
management practices, including the provision of
encouragement and assistance to sports, to develop a broader
funding base
Ensure programmes and
services are delivered in the most efficient and effective
manner
Develop a promotional
campaign and strategy for the promotion of Seychelles sport
Informing and persuading
partners in sport and potential funders of the merits of the
Strategic Plan.
