French public radio station, France Inter, is
sending a two strong team to capture the sounds of Seychelles for a
forthcoming radio series.
More used to the stunning sights of the country
drawing foreign television journalists, the France Inter programmes will
reach an audience not necessarily familiar with Seychelles.
Here from December 15 to 19 the crew is made up of
the producer, Ms Anne Pastor and technician Mr Etienne Leroy.
While in Seychelles their aim is to find
information on the themes of architecture, traditions, culture, flora
and fauna, fishing and tourism.
The team will also make use of interviews with
French speaking Seychellois with knowledge of the featured topics, and
have already selected their interviewees, who come from Praslin and La
Digue.
The Seychelles coverage will be used for two
one-hour programmes in the Je vous écris du plus lontain de mes reves
series.
Forming part of the Radio-France group, France
Inter is a public radio station, broadcasting everything from news and
music, to reviews of books, theatre, cinema and travel.
The station reaches an average audience of over 5
million listeners.
