French singer and
TV star Antoine Murracioli is visiting Seychelles to film the latest
instalment in the French television series, ‘Les voyages d’Antoine’.
The ten part series
features the popular 1960's crooner as the viewers' guide to some of the
most beautiful islands in the world.
Doubtless well
remembered by readers of a certain vintage, Antoine found fame almost 40
years ago with hits such as, "Bonjour Salut", "Les élucubrations", "Ratata"
and "Je l'appelle Canelle."
Having already
taken Murracioli to a number of exotic locations, further tropical
adventures await as the series journeys on to the Maldives, Caribbean,
Malaysia, Reunion, New Zealand,
Madagascar, Thailand and the Galapagos.
Local sites to be
filmed during Murracioli's stay in Seychelles include picturesque areas
of Mahé, the Vallee-de-Mai, La Digue, ecosystems on Fregate and nature
trails on Praslin, as well as inter island trips aboard a catamaran.
According to a
press release from the company responsible for producing the series the
singer is someone who is passionate about travelling and discovery.
"With his immense
background knowledge of islands, and Seychelles in particular, he will
be the ideal person to entice the general public to discover the nature
of the archipelago," it says.
