The 21-year-old beauty queen was crowned on
Saturday night (December 13), at the Berjaya Praslin Beach Hotel by
Vice-President James Michel, in his capacity as the Central Committee
member for Praslin.
Angela, an 'A' Level student at the Seychelles
Polytechnic, walked away with one return ticket to any Air Seychelles'
destination plus accommodation for one week sponsored by Air Seychelles,
pocket money worth R5,000 sponsored by the Miss Iles Des Palmes
organising Committee, a coco-de-mer offered by Praslin Development Fund
(PDF) and one-year membership at the Dome Discotheque.
Fara Ernesta, who won the Miss Personality award,
was also crowned 1st Princess. As Miss Personality, the 19-year-old girl
who has just completed her 'A'' Levels in French, Geography and Art, won
herself a weekend for two at Desroches Island Resort including flights.
The prize has been offered by Travel Services Seychelles (TSS).
The 1st Princess' gift package included one return
ticket and accommodation for one week in Singapore sponsored by Sunny
Kan, pocket money worth R3,000 sponsored by the organising committee, a
set of jewellery offered by Ricardo Workshop and one-year free
membership at the Dome Discotheque.
20-year-old Audrey Annette, who has also completed
her 'A'' Levels in French, Psychology and Law, won the Miss Photogenic
title, besides being crowned 2nd Princess.
As Miss Photogenic Audrey won herself a digital
camera offered by Sunny Kan plus dinner for two sponsored by Maison des
Palmes Hotel.
Her 2nd Princess gift package included one return
ticket and accommodation for one week in Dubai sponsored by Dr V.
Ramadoss, spending money worth R2,000 offered by the committee, a set of
jewellery sponsored by Kreol 'Or and one-year free membership at the
Dome Discotheque.
The three Praslinoise were chosen among 12 other
contestants by a five-member judges panel.
According to the committee the pageant, organized
for the first time on Praslin, will take place every two years. |
