Health minister Patrick Pillay made the rounds at
the Victoria Hospital on Tuesday December 23, handing out gifts and
talking with patients.
Accompanied by principal secretary Marja MacGaw,
health commissioner Rubell Brewer and other health officials, Minister
Pillay visited a number of patients across several parts of the
hospital, including the casualty and paediatric wards.
A group of Christmas carollers, made up of ministry
personnel, shadowed the party during the visits, singing Creole and
French carols to cheer up patients who would not be able to celebrate
the holidays at home.
