A foreign lottery
winner in the local rotary's prize draw donated his prize to a community
organisation recently.
Reunionnais Joseph
Chane Tune, who is a doctor by profession, gave the Faith and Hope
Association (FAHA) the two-door refrigerator he won in the Seychelles
Rotary Club lottery draw.
Rotary Club member
Mr Carlo Lauro, presented the refrigerator on behalf of Mr Chane Tune,
who has already left the country, at Stad Linite Friday October 3.
Accepting the
donation, FAHA chairperson Mr Joseph Rath said that the refrigerator
would be set up at the communicable disease control unit (CDCU) in the
Ministry of Health.
"We will
temporarily place the fridge at the CDCU Unit until FAHA gets its own
office," he said.
Mr Rath added that
the fridge will assist the ministry in the storing of anti-retroviral
drugs used by those infected with HIV.
