Seychelles' membership of COMESA (Common Market for
Eastern and Southern Africa) are among the topics of discussion taking
place between the government and an official of that organisation.
The official, COMESA's Assistant Secretary General
Sindosi Ngwenya, arrived in Seychelles over the weekend on a four-day
working visit.
He is due to meet with the Vice-President James
Michel, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Jeremie Bonnelame, as well
as senior government officials.
Apart from Seychelles' membership of COMESA,
discussion is also be on a wide range of other issues including the
on-going negotiations of the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs)
between the African, Caribbean and Pacific Member States (ACP) and the
European Union.
Mr Ngwenya is expected to leave Seychelles on
Thursday October 30.
