Miss D (right) picks a winner with Lisa Laporte

Mr Daniel Jeannvole is the winner of the Air Seychelles frequent flyer draw.

Launched a week ago on Miss D's daily radio show, the Air Seychelles draw was open to all Seychelles PLUS frequent flyer club members who registered to receive their PLUS statements online.

With a return ticket to Mauritius on offer for the competition winner, the draw attracted 74 of the 300 plus members of the frequent flyer club to log on to get PLUS information directly on their PC.

Seychelles PLUS Programme Manager, Ms Lisa Laporte, explained that the competition was launched on Miss D's show on Paradise FM to encourage exposure of the frequent flyer web site.

Once PLUS members had visited the frequent flyers' website and registered for online statements they were given a number which was sent to the Paradise FM studios.

Listeners to Miss D's show then called in, from Monday to Friday last week, and picked three of the numbers which were then entered into the draw.

The climax of the competition came on Monday  November 10 in the morning when Mr Jeannvole was selected at random by Miss D to pick up the free flight ticket.

Speaking at the draw Miss D said that she thought the response to the competition had been good, once people realised how the competition worked, with around 20 people a day calling in just to pick the numbers for the draw.

Asked if she had taken part in the competition herself, Miss D replied that she had joined the Seychelles PLUS online service, but hadn't entered the competition to avoid a scandal, should she win.
