The Ministry of
Social Affairs and Employment (MESA) is setting up a Board of Enquiry to
investigate the escape of convicts from prison.
Vice-President
James Michel, who made the announcement in the weekly Tête-à-tête
radio programme on Sunday September 21, said the Board would carry out
an official investigation at the prison to determine how convicts escape
from Long Island.
With the formation
of the Board of Enquiry the authorities who are responsible for the
prison would account for the escape of prisoners.
Two convicts,
namely Lambert Laurette and Antoine Joubert who are known to be
dangerous, are still on the run after they escaped from Long Island two
weeks ago. |
