Aquaglass expands into the luxury market of Jacuzzis

After six years in business, Aquaglass is expanding its production line by embarking on a new venture: the manufacture of Jacuzzis.

Aquaglass is the only company in Seychelles that specialises in the manufacture and installation of fibreglass swimming pools ranging in size from 12.0m by 6.0m for small hotels to their 8.0 by 4.0 metre and smaller domestic models. These fibreglass swimming pools, Mr Pool said, are easier to maintain than traditional pools and are also more cost-effective and faster to install.

The owners of Aquaglass , Charles Pool and Rene Michel, are proud of their track record of being able to manufacture and install one of their swimming pools in less than one month. Aquaglass pools can be seen in numerous homes on Mahe and in hotels on Praslin.

All the moulds for the pools and the tanks etc are locally made so as to reduce reliance on imports.

The only limiting factor is the importation of basic raw material, which is presently a struggle, but the company is optimistic that the situation will improve slowly.

Their other manufactured products include fibreglass water tanks and septic tanks of various sizes to suit the demands of the construction industry. The fibreglass septic tanks, Mr Pool said, are as solid as the concrete-made ones “but are easier and less costly to install and unlikely to crack.” and therefore environmentally friendly.

Within the same length of time taken to install one conventional concrete septic tank a contractor can install four Aquaglass septic tanks with the obvious reduction in cost to the benefit of all concerned. Most of the recent housing developments on Praslin for example have been equipped with Aquaglass septic tanks because; as Mr Pool says they have been engineered for efficiency of operation and ease of installation.

In keeping with the Seychelles trend of up-grading hotels and guest- houses to better serve the tourist industry, Aquaglass is now gearing up to locally produce Jacuzzis or spas, as they are sometime known. The Jacuzzi or spa can be described as a small pool with a variable circulation of heated water coming from jets around the inside of the pool. These jets produce a soothing massage effect, which is very therapeutic, and relaxing and many have found countless benefits from its use. Apart from the obvious social and romantic benefits, there are others such as stress relief, etc. ……………

A Jacuzzi would also be a wonderful addition to your home. After a long day of stressful work, what better way to relax than to indulge in a soothing massage-massage in your own home setting!

Aquaglass, a locally owned and run company, based at Providence Industrial Estate, has now started the production of Jacuzzis. According to Charles Pool and Rene Michel of Aquaglass, the first unit from their production line will be on the market within the next few months.

From swimming pools to water tanks, septic tank to shower units and very shortly Jacuzzis all you need to do is contact Aquaglass.

The people at Aquaglass are professionals, they know their business and they deliver on time.
