| Prison Division gets new head |
|
Colonel Macdonald Marengo has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Prisons by Vice-President James Michel, acting as President. The appointment took effect on Monday September 8, 2003. Colonel Marengo replaces Mr Raymond Bonté who has served as Superintendent of Prisons since June 1999, and who will now be pursuing private interests. Colonel Marengo has had a distinguished career spanning over 26 years in the Seychelles People’s Defence Forces. He was promoted to the rank of Colonel in 1991. |
