Even though
Christmas is a few days away a group of children from two orphanages on
Mahe were already in the festive mood when they were hosted to a party
at the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Hotel Friday December 19.
Altogether some 40
children, aged from five to 16, were united for this special occasion
together with the management of Berjaya Hotel.
After a sumptuous
lunch in the Parrot Restaurant, they were brought to the beach to greet
Santa, whose arrival on a jet ski delighted the children.
All present on
that day received a Christmas gift from Santa.
The programme for
the day, which lasted until 3 p.m., included other forms of
entertainment.
The general
manager of Berjaya Hotels and Resorts Seychelles, Mr Khoo Boo Beng, said
that it was a great pleasure for the hotel to have this yearly charity
event for the less fortunate. He added that events like these bring joy
to those children especially now that Christmas is near.
The company also
attends to other needs of orphanages whenever requests arise and also
makes contributions with the aim of bettering the living conditions of
the residents.
