A scene from a past fishing competition organised by Rotary

The annual Rotary Offshore Fishing Tournament will this year take place on November 8, the organisers have announced.

The La Digue Island Lodge being the main sponsor for the tournament, this year's edition of the event will finish on La Digue.

Participating boats will leave both Baie St Anne (Praslin) and La Passe (La Digue) jetties at 3 a.m. and return to La Digue by 5 p.m. the same day, where the fish will be weighed.

Prizes will be presented during a post-tournament dinner.

Meanwhile a meeting for all Mahé team skippers or their representative will be held on Friday October 24,  at 3.00 p.m. at the Seychelles Yacht Club. The meeting for the Praslin based skippers will be held at 5.30 p.m. on Friday November 7 at Cote D'Or Pizzeria.
