The Leader of the Opposition, Wavel Ramkalawan, has wished Seychellois athletes taking part in the Indian Ocean Islands Games "the very best of luck."

In a message to the athletes issued on Wednesday August 27,  Mr Ramkalawan says: "Always compete in the true spirit of fair play and sportsmanship, with the utmost respect for your adversaries."

The message adds: "As ambassadors of our country in Mauritius, seek to lift our islands to the highest levels of reputation and success."
