The Social Democratic Alliance and its leader
Clifford Reginald have sent "warmest Christmas greetings" to all the
people of Seychelles.
"Christmas is a time of great joy, peace and
goodwill. My wish is that every Seychellois will be caught up in the
spirit of forgiveness, generosity, compassion and tolerance. I urge
all Seychellois to vow taking this Christmas spirit into the New Year
and beyond for the good of our nation," says Mr Reginald in his message.
"The true spirit of Christmas reflects a dedication
to helping those in need, to giving hope to those in despair, and to
spreading peace and understanding throughout the Earth as we share love
and enjoy the traditions of celebrating Christmas," Mr Reginald's
message reads.
"Let us think of those people who are having
difficulties in making ends meet, but who will at all cost try to make
their children enjoy a Christmas lunch and will take a bit of their time
to visit the sick and poor.
"Love, peace, joy, hope – so many beautiful words
are woven through our Christmas songs and prayers and traditions. As we
celebrate this Christmas, let us resolve to build a future where all
people learn to love one another and to live together in harmony; where
our children know true joy; and where our hopes for peace, freedom, and
prosperity for all are finally realized.
“As we come together amongst family and friends and
look forward to the coming year, I hope that in the months to come we
shall be able to find ways to strengthening our own communities as a
sure support and comfort to us all – whatever may lie ahead.
“May I, in this Christmas message to you, wish
every one of you a very happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.” |
