SNP names proportionally elected MNAs

The Seychelles National Party (SNP), which won seven seats in last weekend's National Assembly election, has named its proportionally elected members.

They are Hardy Lucas, its candidate for Anse Royale; Ebrona Brioche (Anse Etoile); David Pierre (Port Glaud) and Francis Cupidon (Grand Anse Praslin).

Each party gets a proportionally elected member for each ten per cent of votes won.

The SNP scored 42.6% of votes in the election..

Having won the majority of seats in the assembly with a score of 54.3%, the Seychelles People's Progressive Front (SPPF) is entitled to five proportionally elected members. The party is however yet to announce its proportionally elected members.
