Centre promoting holistic living ready for clients

Guests touring the centre on Monday

A new centre – Empowerment and Development Holistic Living – was officially launched on Monday December 1.

Situated in the Orion Mall building, the centre is a private venture undertaken by Mrs Marie-Pierre Lloyd, who is also the managing director.

Mrs Lloyd said that setting up such a business had been her long-time dream.

The goals, service and the operation of the centre were revealed during the opening ceremony attended by Ministers Dolor Ernesta and Danny Faure as well as other guests.

The centre offers numerous services such as self-empowerment, stress management including yoga, life coaching, one to one counselling, support groups, advice, mentoring as well as a wide range of beauty treatments including facial, manicure, pedicure, massage, nail technology, lymph drainage, cellulite treatment,  detox body wrap, waxing, among others.

On sale are a variety of beauty products from famous brands like Phytomer and Annique as well as interesting locally made aromatherapy moisturisers, toners, make-up and cellulite treatment.

The centre caters for male and female clients of different age groups.

People who want to make meaningful changes to their lives or to their businesses; those who want to heal from past relationships and those interested in personal development and growth can visit the centre for counselling.

There are other facilities for hire such as a training room with PowerPoint projector, accessories for workshops/meetings, office facilities with photocopier, scanner, fax machine, computers with internet connection and many more.

The centre also provides training for those who seek to improve their knowledge in beauty therapy.

Eight participants from the Unemployment Relief Scheme have already started a six-month basic training in beauty at the centre.

“The aim is to equip participants with skills and help them develop the right attitude so that they can gainfully find occupation and make meaningful contributions to national development,” said Mrs Lloyd.

The centre opens from Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. but also operates at flexible hours depending on its clients’ needs.
