Equipped with nine
latest IBM computers, The Net is the latest in a series of Internet
Cafés to open in Victoria.
Besides Internet
surfing The Net, a very spacious room based in the Sham Peng Tong Plaza
on Albert Street, provides a series of services at competitive rates,
including scanning, photocopy, black and white and colour printing,
CD-Writer, online gaming and various Microsoft Windows packages,
including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word.
"The Net is not just
a place where you come to browse the Internet, but with all the
facilities and technology available it can also be turned into an office
for whoever is in need of a PC to work on. If you are having a problem
with your PC or waiting for the repairman, there is no need to delay you
business. By coming to The Net you can continue to operate as if you are
in your own office," Ms Pamela Rose, who runs the Internet Café, told
Business Nation.
Ms Rose said the
café was very popular among children and secondary students who normally
come for online gaming and Internet surfing. However she is calling on
more post-secondary students to come and make use of the facilities at
hand, especially for research and for higher studies.
Ms Rose is also
inviting more adults to make use of the services.
The rates offered
for Internet surfing is R10 for 15 minutes, R20 for 30 minutes and R40
for 60 minutes. The Net offers R25 for CD-Writer.
The café is open
from Monday to Saturday. From Monday to Friday it is open from 8.30 a.m
to 5.00 p.m and on Saturdays from 8.30 a.m to 1.00 p.m. |
