New compilation
A feast of Creole hits

Whether you're looking for some good Creole music to dance to or simply for listening pleasure, a newly released compilation of all time Creole hits entitled Festival Kreol should fit the bill perfectly.

Produced by I & R Trading director Paul Pillay, who is also the mastermind behind the photography work and cover design, this scintillating compilation on CD is a sensuous concoction of spicy hot segas, soothing ballads, among other genres.

Basically the 15-track release comprises already popular Creole tunes which have been remixed. While a few have been re-sung by their original authors, the majority have been re-interpreted by other artists.

The star-studded line-up of artists featuring on this new release include Philip Toussaint, Michele Marengo, Sheila Paul, Francois Havelock, Serge Camille, Keven Rath, Jany De Letourdie, among others.

The album opens with the explosive and enthralling sega beat of Rosana, a song performed by Philip Toussaint and Michelle Marengo. Other popular numbers appearing on the release are Patrick Victor's Si En Zour (re-interpreted by Michelle Marengo), Francois Havelock's Mersi Pour Zot Tou (performed by the author himself), Jones Camille's Lwen ek Ou and David Scholastique's Si Demen Nou Separe (re-interpreted by Sheila Paul), Serge Camille's Tou Konmsi Koumsa (re-sung by Camille himself), among others. Also featuring on the release is Keven Rath's Orevwar, a remix of the 1976 hit composed on the occasion of Seychelles' accession to Independence.

Lending grace and elegance to the front cover of the release is the captivating photograph of Lise Athanase, a model from Telly's Modelling Agency.

The producer of the release also has words of thanks to the national airline Air Seychelles for sponsoring freight costs.

On sale at the usual outlets at R125, the new release is sure to be a hit among locals and visitors alike. So grab your copy now!!
