Love is in the air at STMA's Bel Ombre base now that staff have returned
from the four-day Sposaidea travel fair, catering exclusively for the
needs of honeymooners. The fair, held close to Milan at Trezzo d’Abba–Villa
Castelbarco from 2 to 5 October, was dedicated to offering newly weds
the ideal destination for a post wedding get away.
Villa Catelbarco itself is a recognised prestigious wedding location
and the event drew the participation of over 100 exhibitors, mainly
premium priced companies for weddings and wedding accessories.
Sharing a stand with Beachcomber Ste Anne, the STMA representatives
distributed some 800 brochures amongst the fair attendees, decribed as
generally medium and high target customers.
The principal objective of the fair, from the STMA point of view, was
to position Seychelles as the ideal destination for honeymooners and
anniversaries.
With a booth of 27sqm, located close to the entrance, the Seychelles
stand was guaranteed plenty of interest.
All of those who visited the fair were automatically entered into a
prize draw, with the winners being given a variety of wedding acessories.
At the end of the week two star prizes were drawn, of one holiday to
Polynesia and one holiday to Seychelles.
In addition to the happy couples, also present at the fair was the
Italian national television station RAI 2, as well as specialised trade
publications such as Vogue Sposa.
An STMA spokesperson said: "Fairs like the Sposaidea are considered
as very effective means of exploiting interesting niche markets." |
