Six years after the release of his last album
Best of Hudson, talented male artist Hudson Dorothe is back in the
limelight with a new album entitled Belta which is expected to
hit the local market next week.
Timimi, Ayoyo, Les Lanmour, Sile, Gadyak Maron,
Lorgey, Kaporal are some of the songs featuring on the 10-track
Creole album.
Hudson, who has until now released a number of
albums, has been working on these new tracks for quite sometime and
because of various constraints had not been able to release the album
sooner.
To realise the album Hudson has received the help
of musicians like Mervin Nibourette, (drums), Peter Jules (keyboard),
Tony Julie (bass guitar), Cyril Vital (lead guitar), Brian Marguerite
a.k.a Ata (percussion) and Octavie Prosper (backing vocals).
The mainly sega album also includes a reggae song
entitled Les Lanmour.
Hudson, who has a preference for sega, says that
because of piracy he has decided to insert a special security number on
all the CDs.
Belta, which was recorded at Veuve Studio,
cost R125 for CD and R50 cassette and will be available at the usual
outlets on Mahe, Praslin and La Digue as well as in other ordinary shops
in the districts.
