In a bid to raise the standards of the local
modelling industry Telly's Modelling Agency this week re-auditioned all
its models.
On a catwalk set up in the mini stadium in the
Children's Playground the models were put through their paces to secure
their place with the agency.
Telly's boss, Mr Terry Carolla said that the
re-audition was taking place to mark a change in outlook at the agency.
"This year we are very serious with everybody and
we are trying to build up the image of the agency," explained Mr Carolla,
who said that the emphasis for 2004 would be on achieving greater
professionalism.
Mr Carolla said that the agency had elected a new
committee, which has already met twice this year, to draft a list of
rules and regulations to work by in the coming twelve months.
As well as being re-auditioned, the models also
received certificates in recognition of their hard work throughout 2003.
Mr Carolla said that special certificates had been
produced to award the most improved model, the best model and the models
who have been with the agency for the last five years.
He added that he intended to make the certificate
presentation an annual event and hoped to upgrade it to a prize giving
ceremony in future.
"This year we will try to give them some prizes as
well, to make the agency more vibrant and make them work better and
harder," he said.
