Complete body care at Veronique's spa

Veronique's massage parlour for complete body relaxation

If you are feeling stressed-out or worried about your skin, the cellulites, the bad texture of your hair, then take a day off from work and visit Veronique Bartoli's Hairdressing Salon and Spa for a complete body treatment that guarantees to make you feel more alive and healthy.

The salon can be found at Anse Talbot, Cascade, and as several clients have experienced over the past nine months, despite the town being the most frequented business centre on Mahe, it is exciting to sometime venture beyond what you are used to and get the pleasure of discovering something new. In a time when good beauty products are not consistently available on the market, Veronique, making the most of the good relations she has with her partners overseas, is going as far as the United States to keep up with her clients' expectations for reliable and well-reputed brands and effective products.

At the hands of the professional colour technician and beauty therapist who has spent a good part of her life in the US, clients are cared for from head to toe. The whole body makeover offer comprises hair care which includes colouring, perm, relaxer and cut 'n' style, facials to remove impurities from the skin, body massage to help tone and relieve the body from stress, manicure for hands care and pedicure for feet care.

The complete body treatment, Veronique said was attracting mainly people leading hectic lifestyle, especially those who run very demanding businesses and cannot afford to stay away from their business for too long. Her spa, she said, provides clients with a breathing space, moments of recuperation and allows them to relax, at least for that day. But the impression that the treatment leaves, she added, is lasting, as clients come out feeling fresh and rejuvenated as if they have been away on holiday.

While her salon is highly reputed among a certain segment of the population,  like doctors, journalists, air hostesses and self-employed professionals, Veronique said she would like to further extend her services to the more ordinary people, "because they too need to feel good about themselves."

For people suffering from pigmentation, dark circles around the eyes or simply poor skin texture, Veronique offers a variety of products with brands like Merle-Norman, Ponds and L'Oreal as well as mint-based facial treatment. Facials are provided for all skin types, but Veronique also advised clients to maintain a proper skin hygiene by using a good moisturiser, regular cleansing and toning as well as a scrub or face mask. Washing the face with warm water regularly and a good scrub, for instance using blended oatmeal in cold water, helps to cleanse the pores and exfoliate the skin, she said.

The salon also offers a unique home-made, but effective, anti-cellulite treatment which includes the use of a sweet smelling oily herbal mixture and refined round stones picked up from the rivers of our environment. Veronique is advising people to eat less rice, to drink plenty of  water and eat boiled cabbage as well as plenty of fruits, which is a simple diet for those suffering from cellulites.

The salon also uses top colour brands for hair like Wella, Garnier and Colestron.

The salon is opened from Mondays to Saturdays from 8.00 a.m to 6.00 p.m.
