The Seychelles Tourism Marketing Authority (STMA)
toured Germany, the third most important tourism market for Seychelles,
during a grand promotional roadshow recently.
Mrs Jenni Harris-Beggs, STMA's director for
marketing operations, and Anna Burian, country marketing coordinator,
visited seven cities in Germany and Austria together with PR and
Marketing representatives from the Mangum Group.
It is to be noted that Mangum are the official STMA
representatives in Germany. Participating partners in the roadshow were
Air Seychelles, Lemuria Resort, Beachcomber Ste Anne and Fregate Private
Island.
During three very successful trade and media
dinners in Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna, more than 80 key media and tour
operators for the Indian Ocean were provided with the latest
information on Seychelles. More than 240 German travel agents
participated in breakfast seminars in Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Munich.
In addition, media appointments ensured story leads
on Seychelles with top media houses. RTL,
Germany’s leading private TV station, is going to produce a feature
with a German celebrity presenting Seychelles.
Other media that will feature Seychelles in lead
stories this year are Marie Claire,
one of the leading female magazines and FAZ
Sonntagszeitung, Germany’s leading national Sunday paper.
