THERE was little notice of what was to come, but
despite starting with two double bogeys on the first half,
15-handicapper veteran golfer Karsan 'Dudu' Chudasamy held his nerves to
finish with a gross 80, net 65, to win the Barclays Mug last Saturday at
the Seychelles Golf Club, Anse Aux Pins.
Dudu won the Mug by two shots from one of our young
up-and-coming golfers Jerry Jean-Baptise Jerry, net 67.
Three shots further back, finishing in third place,
was lady golfer Marcella Bristol with a net 68.
Bristol, it is to be noted, will be sponsoring her
own competition “two clubs and a putter” on Saturday April 6.
Mr Edwin Palmer, representing the sponsors –
Barclays Bank (Seychelles) Ltd – presented the prizes to all the
winners and the captain of the Golf Club, Mr Sunil Shah, thanked
Barclays Bank for its continued support.
