SEYCHELLES ... Mombassa Open Tournament runners-up

MEMBERS of the Seychelles under-21 team returned home Sunday January 18 in the afternoon with the silver medal around their necks as they could not go all the way and win the Mombassa Open Tournament in Kenya.

Coached by Brian Camille and George Sicobo, the Seychelles team lost last Friday's final on a 0-2 score to Mombassa Institute. It was the second meeting between the two sides in five days.

Before reaching the final, Seychelles had collected a 2-0 victory over Mombassa Sports Club in their first match with goals from Jonathan Richards (15th minute) and Franky Naiken (55th minute) before being held scoreless by Mombassa Institute.
