VETERAN golfers
(50 years and over) had the rare chance to play amongst themselves
Saturday April 3 at the Seychelles golf course, Anse Aux Pins, in a
competition sponsored by Modern Printing Services Ltd.
As the more
experienced players battled it out for a place on the medals podium,
their juniors were also involved in a subsidiary competition played on a
stableford format.
After the first
nine holes, Joe Elisa was first with 19 points and was closely followed
by
Harold Préa.
Elisa braved the
stifling heat of the Saturday afternoon to remain cool and consistent
throughout the second nine and score another 18 points to capture the
winner's trophy.
Dudu Chudasama,
who was nowhere in the reckoning after the first nine holes, amassed 20
points on the second nine to finish as runner-up.
Harold Préa had to
do with third position after a rather good display.
The subsidiary
competition was completely dominated by Simon Dine who played one of his
best golf on Saturday to win first place.
Serge Pool, managing director of Modern Printing Services Ltd, was on
hand to present the prizes to the winners.
Club captain Alix
Esparon thanked Mr Pool for his continued support.
