A four-member gymnastics delegation is to leave the country on Saturday October 12,  for Algeria where they will be making their first appearance in the Sixth African Gymnastic Championship scheduled for October 14.

The delegation which comprises three gymnasts – Denis Laporte, Barry Duval and Terrence Vidot – will be accompanied by local coach Jeffrey Evenor who will also act as the head of delegation.

According to coach Evenor even if his gymnasts lacked international experience he expect them to give a good performance whilst in Algeria.

"This is our first participation in the championship but I am convinced that the three local gymnasts will give a very good account of themselves," said coach Evenor.

He added that the gymnasts are well prepared for the competition and they are all eager to try their luck in Algeria.

Meanwhile the Seychelles Gymnastics Association (SGA)would like to thank all those who have helped in making the trip possible.
