Editorial Policy
The Seychelles Medical & Dental Journal (SMDJ) is published once or twice annually by the Seychelles Medical & Dental Association (SMDA)
.The SMDJ publishes original articles, editorials, position papers, reviews, letters and other information related to clinical medicine and public health. Original articles are peer-reviewed by members of the editorial board or other relevant experts. Preference is given to papers addressing issues which have relevance for doctors and dentists in Seychelles.
The SMDJ aims to stimulate the production and the publication of original research in clinical medicine and public health in Seychelles, to provide a source of continuing medical education in Seychelles, and to circulate such information in Seychelles and other Indian Ocean countries.
The SMDJ also holds a Web domain (www.seychelles.net/smdj) allowing any Internet user to access previous and current material published by the Journal without restriction (most original articles appear in full text).
All statements of opinion and referred facts are published on the authority of the authors and are not to be regarded as the views of the Journal unless specifically mentioned.
Copyright
All literary matters in the SMDJ are copyright. However, reproduction of SMDJ material is permitted provided the source of the cited information is mentioned including the title, author(s), Journal’s name, year, volume, and page(s).
Subscription
Members of the SMDA receive one copy of the Journal free of charge. Single or replacement copy: domestic SR 25; international by airmail SR 60 or US$ 12 (cheques to SMDJ). For information, sales of single copies or subscription, write to Editorial Office (regular mail or through the Web site).
